My name is David Abokhai. I am 44 years old. I was born and raised in Africa and came to this country in 1983. My wife is Sheryl and together we have 5 children and 2 grandchildren. China, Ryan, Marissa, Justin, Robin, Jordan, Chris.
We live in Jefferson City and are members of Solid Rock Family Church.I got involved with Celebrate Recovery through Solid Rocks weekly meetings. I met Rick and Arlene Tolliver when they came to speak and asked for volunteers to help out.
So I became a volunteer and I LOVE the program and the group of guys that I work the program with. The growth of this ministry is amazing and exciting and God is working in ways we cant even imagine.The most exciting thing for me is when the guys come to me after the service and ask questions and share their testimonies with me.
They thank me for being there and it makes all of it worthwhile. God is blessing these incarcerated men and women when they get real and honestly seek Him , and He is using the volunteers in this ministry to facilitate that change.
It is a privelage and an Honor to witness the changes I see taking place.
